Preferred Qualifications

The EMEA Professional Services group within the Oracle Hospitality Global Business Unit (HGBU) is seeking a Professional Services Development Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of PL/SQL. Ideally you are also familiar with the Hospitality Industry and have worked with Oracle Hospitality OPERA Version 5 or OPERA Cloud.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requests for customized solutions such as new reports, forms, views and exports

  • Create Scope of Work for customized solutions

  • Responsible for creating customized solutions based on scope of work

  • Submit timely and accurate project status

  • Work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure that projects can be successfully closed as contracted

  • Assist with the implementation of customized solutions for customers

Requirements:

  • Fluent in spoken and written English

  • Familiar with PL/SQL

  • Oracle Report Builder Knowledge

  • Oracle Forms Builder Knowledge

  • Occasional travel if needed

  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Familiar with PCI / PA-DSS requirements

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

You will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
