IBM Quantum Safe Business Development Executive in Yorktown Heights, New York

Your Role and Responsibilities

Job Description: The Quantum Safe Business Development Executive is responsible for Quantum Safe Software & Services Sales on the IBM Quantum Safe Team. Managing Quantum Safe pipeline, Sales Strategy, and Capture of Quantum Safe Engagements.

Also, the Business Development Executive (BDE) on the IBM Quantum Safe Team is responsible for the identification, validation, development, progression, and capture of opportunities relevant to the IBM Research portfolio funded primarily by the US Federal government but also including State, Foreign Governments, and Commercial Companies.

Success for this role is measured on new agreement signings and income generated for IBM Research. The BDE is expected to drive multi-millions of dollars in signings each year.

The BDE forges and sustains successful strategic partnerships with government agencies, national laboratories, systems integrators, and commercial clients to gain a client's attention and trust, identify Cybersecurity research needs and objectives that align with IBM's research strategy.

The BDE shapes new engagements, defines value propositions, articulates technical differentiation, and secures teaming partners where appropriate.

The BDE applies experience in the various organizations budget and procurement and assistance agreement environment, the proposal process, consultative selling, client relationship-building and managing in a highly matrixed environment. In addition to the US Federal government, knowledge and experience in the processes of State, Foreign Governments, and commercial business is desirable.

Location are Yorktown Heights NY, Washington DC, Houston, TX. Working in an IBM 3 days a week is required.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • +8 years of experience in Cybersecurity Sales and Quantum Sales, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders at a time.

  • Possesses strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
