WorkSource Oregon Transit Bus Driver - Dispatcher in WOODBURN, Oregon
Transit Bus Driver drives a transit bus to transport riders to and from locations within the city and surrounding communities on a scheduled or on demand basis, in addition to performing lead worker duties of assisting the Transit Manager in scheduling and assigning of duties; performing as back up to Transit Manager when not available; responding to customer inquiries on the phone or in person; and dispatching drivers. Woodburn Transit Service provides safe and reliable public transportation for people traveling within the Woodburn region. The system was built with a focus on those who do not have reliable transportation options, seniors, and people with disabilities; and strives to provide residents, visitors, and workers traveling to and from Woodburn with efficient and convenient regional transportation connections. If you would like to be part of the City\'s Transit team in providing excellent service to the citizens of Woodburn, take pride in your work, this could be your job. High school degree or G.E.D., and 5 (five) years of driving a bus or transit van with a wheelchair lift, or an equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Other Requirements: Must pass the pre-employment background check Valid Oregon class B (CDL) license with passenger endorsement and air brakes and ability to meet the City of Woodburn\'s driving standards Must pass the pre-employment drug test under FTA regulations and subject to random testing as a safety sensitive position Must have flexible schedule Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual (Spanish/English) Per Oregon Revised Statutes 408.225 and 408.230, the City of Woodburn grants preference in hiring and promotion of veterans and disabled veterans as defined by state law.
