Summary

We are looking for an IT Support Technician who can work independently to provide software and systems support to all Communication and Related Services (C&RS) Users. Working to improve support mechanisms and processes whilst using a ticketing system to manage, prioritise and report on support demands.

*May be required to provide occasional out-of-hours cover during campaign start-ups (monthly or less).

Salary: £30-35,000 DOE per annum

Responsibilities

  • Resolve support tickets in a timely Fashion with regular updates to customers.

  • Work independently to manage workload over a broad range of systems and infrastructures.

  • Build (internal) customer relationships to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Build professional relationships to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:

  • Educated to A-Level/IB/NVQ/HND standard.

  • IT Qualification (such as CCNA/A+/MSCE/MSc).

  • ·Active Directory & Windows Server Administration.

  • Linux – basic knowledge of console, access, and system commands.

  • IIS – website administration, creation, access management.

  • SQL Server – basic knowledge and understanding.

  • Methodical problem analysis and resolution of software problems.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently, on or off-site.

  • Excellent organisation and problem solving skills.

  • Logical, concise analytical thinker.

  • Lead on problem resolution, act as point of escalation.

  • Positive and committed attitude.
