DescriptionAssociated Fire Protection is seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, performing repairs and maintaining fire sprinkler systems, as well as various types of fire protection systems and equipment as needed.About UsAssociated Fire Protection, founded in 1947, is a leader in fire protection and life safety. If you are thinking about making a change, give us a shout.Essential Functions- including but not limited to:Perform installation, testing, repair, inspections, and programming as applicable, on sprinkler systems, and other types of fire protection systems and equipment as needed.Troubleshoot fire sprinkler systems.Complete inspection reports and repair work orders via mobile device and submit them on a timely basis.Ability to read blueprints.Pull material for jobs as required.Communicate with customers to review work and answer any service, quality or technical questions.Other job specific functions may be required depending on level.Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.General FunctionsThis position includes a lot of interaction with customers and coworkers. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively and enjoy collaboration with others.The successful candidate should read and be aligned with company’s mission statement, vision and values.Depending on skill level, the successful candidate must be able to manage, lead and mentor people.RequirementsQualifications, Experience and Education- including but not limited to:Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working for fire sprinkler systems, or related systems is required.Must be able to obtain any licenses or certifications as required in the area that you are working.Experience working with fire protection and suppression systems is required.Perform simple tasks independently.Knowledge of local and national fire protection codes.Excellent customer service skills.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Computer, phone and tablet literate.Well organized, self-motivated, flexible and a team player.Must be able to drive to and from jobs and have a valid driver's license.Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.Emergency Service shifts are a requirement for this job.
