POSITION PURPOSE / IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATION Instructor position is responsible for teaching patrons 15 years and older in a variety of enrichment programs. This position will plan and lead the classes and will share duties with other instructors as needed. Classes are recreational-based and may be educational and/or activity-related. Recreation instructor staff have the primary responsibility of ensuring the safety of program participants. This position is classified as safety-sensitive due to the nature of the work. Employees in this position may be subject to random drug testing and/or heightened supervision per the personnel policies and rules.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS/PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS Education, Experience, Skills, Formal Training, Licenses, and Certifications Required:
Must be at least 18 years old Teaching experience working with people of all ages or work in similar settings First Aid, CPR and AED certification within 30 days of hire Preferred: Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which would provide the required knowledge and skills, may be considered.
