This position will design and implement a Transport strategy and provide expertise to support and align various ongoing business strategies, manage segment sourcing negotiations, deeply understand the market segment and business/revenue opportunities for Cargill businesses; coordinate with stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies; negotiate with vendors/carriers; develop, evaluate, and pursue new/growth opportunities.
Support development and deployment of CTL’s EMEA truck vision and strategy, including the contracting within respective market. Understand the regional market and Cargill business requirements to identify opportunities for Cargill businesses; partner with trading, supply chain and shipment execution identify inter-modal/other opportunities; Assist Cargill business unit in making decisions for its services that are best for the enterprise; Understand the truck market the related business and customer requirements of each business unit
Lead sourcing events and spot sourcing incl. spend analyses / Rfi/Rfq / quote analyses / negotiation / bid optimization / selection / awarding and value tracking
Be a subject matter expert. Maintain a high level of market awareness across the region where Business Unit operates and lead the communication towards our stakeholders; Translate changes in the market into management information for the BU and CTL
Support the regional truck mode strategy in Vendor management processes; (selection, onboarding, contract negotiations, compliance and relationship management) and drive carrier performance improvements OTIF (Supplier score card – Incident management)
Lead CI projects on Truck and participate in projects where others lead also other modes.

Bachelors Degree, preferably in business, logistics, transportation, supply chain management
Minimum 7 years Transportation or Related Experience including truck procurement and/or operational experience within a trucking company
Very good negotiation skills
Partnering with stakeholders to understand strategies/requirements and translating them into priority actions
Customer and vendor relationship management and negotiation / influence without power
Leading the development and execution of a strategy in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and interests
Strong analytical skills; experience with scorecards/metrics
Good knowledge of MS Excel
Ability to manage multiple tasks; ability to prioritize business issues
Demonstrated strong client and customer focus
Highly motivated, results-oriented team player
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self starter, initiative taking, problem solving
Fluent in English verbal & written and knowledge of min. 1 or 2 other European languages - preferred
Experience with bulk cargo transportation - preferred
Commercial truck line and/or forwarding - preferred
