AniCura Accountant Austria and/or Switzerland in Warsaw, Poland
About the role
AniCura, as part of Mars Veterinary Healthcare, is rapidly growing through organic growth and acquisitions across Europe. As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in our accounting department during an exciting phase of growth in Austria and Switzerland.
You will actively support our activities in general accounting, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures, as well as financial integration of new clinics and financial transformation projects. You will collaborate with 6 clinics in Austria and/or 7 in Switzerland.
You will report to the Accounting Lead and be part of the CHAPO (Switzerland, Austria, and Poland) cluster Finance Team.
The role can be based in Vienna (Austria) or Warsaw (Poland). The position is permanent and full-time.
Your key responsibilities will include
Booking of ongoing business transactions
Support of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting book closures
Reconciliation of accounts
Close cooperation with the controlling department in the preparation of periodic financial reports
Close cooperate with the Group Accounting team
Adherence to AniCura Group Accounting standards
Monitoring of local market (Austria and/or Switzerland) accounting GAAPs changes
Building a strong work relationship with local operation teams (clinic Heads) – being the first line of support in local accounting cases/questions
Supporting financial transformation projects and the Finance Department’s development
Other tasks assigned by the direct superior
Position requirements
At least 3-5 years of professional experience in the position as Accountant
Experience working in a large organization with a Shared Service Center structure
Experience with the accounting period closing process for the distributed data structures
Good knowledge of Austrian and/or Swiss accounting GAAPs
Fluency in German language is a must (daily communication with the German speaking stakeholders)
Communicative level of English
Oracle system user skills
MS Office (especially Excel) user skills
An empathetic personality with excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, used to work in a matrix organization
