DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, your main responsibility will be to provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders of the PennDOT Welcome Center, including the traveling public, tourism industry partners, internal customers, employees, and vendors. You will be responsible for providing travelers with important information about their visit to Pennsylvania, such as directions and hotel accommodations, in order to promote and encourage travel throughout the state. Additionally, you will play a key role in enhancing PennDOT's tourism outreach efforts and strengthening partnerships with the industry through various activities such as special programming, information tours, travel shows, and related events. You will also be expected to assist with other travel-related tasks as assigned by your supervisor or division manager. It is important to maintain effective and knowledgeable communication to ensure the smooth operation of the Welcome Center Division.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Hours of operation are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Work hours are temporarily 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. You will be required to report to work during periods of inclement weather, unless directed otherwise, as part of PennDOT's mission is to serve the traveling public. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience in work involving public contact; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

You must be willing and able to work in and commute to Fulton County PennDOT Welcome Center: I-70 Westbound, 1/2 Mile West of PA/MD Border, Warfordsburg, PA 17267 You must possess one year of customer service experience. You must possess one year of work experience involving public contact. You must possess experience working with computers. You must possess experience answering phones, composing emails; compiling reports; tracking office activities and inventory; data entry; and filing. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
