NJ Employer Manager-Solar Business Development in Wall, New Jersey
NJR Clean Energy Ventures is seeking a Manager-Solar Business Development Develop solar project opportunities to meet Clean Energy Ventures investment targets. Source and manage potential business opportunities, including technical and financial analysis, negotiating agreements, customer relationship management and project approvals. Work closely with Policy and Strategic Initiatives team to monitor current industry environment including competitors, technology providers and government policy to identify potential investment opportunities and impact on existing projects or opportunities. Major Responsibilities: Develop lead generation, account profiling, business networking and other market penetration strategies Maintain pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed annual and multi-year development investment goals Generate proposals and quotes, working closely with customers to understand their energy needs and purchasing drivers Lead the analysis and development efforts for projects working with cross functional teams, including legal, financial, project management and asset management Identify and develop relationships with industry resources, including contractors, consultants, manufacturers and other market participants to maintain a pipeline of potential partners Manage all aspects of project development, including financial and technical analysis, contract negotiations and permitting Evaluate current market drivers, including new technologies, financial incentives and government/regulatory issues to maintain a competitive position in the industry Represent the Company at industry functions and regulatory meetingsPosition Specifications: Bachelors degree in engineering, business or other applicable discipline with at least seven years of related work experience in energy project development Strong knowledge of renewable project development, markets, economics and technologies Demonstrated experience in structuring, negotiating and closing power purchase agreements and leases; experience managing multiple projects simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with senior-level executives in client companies Proficient in use of MS Office and other office productivity toolsVEVRAAHiring contact: Alison McMahonNew Jersey Resources is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
