VP of Events
Alliance Defending Freedom is looking for a highly professional VP of Events to join us in our Scottsdale, AZ or Lansdowne, VA office. As the VP of Events, you are a vital part of the ADF team. In this role, you will report to the Executive Vice President and be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of comprehensive events strategies in collaboration with leaders across the ministry. You will act as a strategic partner by leading innovative, engaging, impactful events around the world to empower the achievement of the ministry’s objectives.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
Drive innovation, plans, and strategies within the Events Operations team that support the execution of the ministry’s strategic plan and organizational objectives
Function as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team to identify critical event opportunities and creatively align event programs with ADF’s objectives
Utilize extensive industry experience and knowledge to incorporate innovative ideas, best practices, and technologies to elevate ADF events
Create a flexible and responsive event operations structure and lead an innovative and collaborative event operations service model designed to maximize the impact of ADF-hosted events
Apply prioritization practices to evaluate and govern the Events team’s capacity to host the ministry’s yearly portfolio of events and additional opportunities as they arise
Develop event strategies and concepts that result in optimal event experience for stakeholders, guests, faculties, and attendees while protecting and enhancing ADF’s brand
Oversee the Event Operations team to manage all aspects of event planning and execution and ensure gold-standard excellence in every event, from large-scale international events and conferences to team member gatherings and meetings
Oversee and provide leadership to the Audio Visual team, including technical guidance to create state-of-the-art, engaging live event production
Oversee the development, management, and reporting of event budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources, cost efficiencies, and sound decision making
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, foster strong working relationships, and promote cross-disciplinary idea generation and creative thinking
Develop a data tracking system and leverage data analytics to measure the effectiveness of events, gain actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions
Keep abreast of trends, technologies, and best practices and proactively reimagine how ADF can utilize events to engage audiences and advance its advocacy
As a Vice President of the organization, you will:

Meet regularly with your Team Members to discuss their progress
Approve PTO requests, timecards, and expense reports

Travel frequently for events, including to international locations periodically/on occasion
Required Education and Experience:
A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university
A minimum of 12 years of event management experience, with a track record of delivering exceptional events and meaningful experiences
Prior technical experience in, or substantial experience overseeing, live AV production is strongly preferred
