ROLE PURPOSE

The Vice President, Information Systems – Americas Region will provide oversight and management of the information technology functional area of the organization. As a member of the Region’s executive team, this role will facilitate technology decisions on behalf of the Americas organization, ensuring that global and regional IT objectives and programs are aligned and supporting the overall business initiatives and growth objectives.

The VP, Information Systems – Americas Region will possess the experience, skills, passion, and leadership capabilities necessary to support the continued rapid and profitable growth of the Company. In collaboration with Global colleagues, the candidate will provide thought leadership and guidance for technology decisions related to the Region. The candidate will be responsible for implementing the Group technical strategy roadmap and regional business goals in support of continued growth. The candidate will be business-minded, while driving technologies that will enhance the company’s business operations.

The candidate will oversee all technology and technological resources, as well as establish the technology plans for the region as approved by and aligned with the Group. This position will lead system, software, and quality assurance processes in the Region to ensure the protection of the region’s technology assets while maintaining and evolving technology needs. The candidate must demonstrate expertise supporting a growth strategy to aid in collaboration with existing relationships across the organization, anticipating current and future needs, and cultivating partner relationships as appropriate.

Additionally, the candidate will hold the fiduciary responsibility for developing, administering, monitoring, and coordinating the technology budget as decisions related to technology needs influence spending patterns for departments and programs across the Region.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement, execute, and contribute to the technology strategy in collaboration with Global colleagues (i.e. design, testing, infrastructure, data, and customization) for the Americas Region.

  • Develop objectives and strategies for the implementation of innovative solutions while optimizing existing systems, applications, and information.

  • Strategize and align with Glory Global Solutions’ CIO, to ensure timelines and budgets for enterprise initiatives are rationalized, prioritized, and executed to plan for the Americas business.

  • Strategize and align with Glory’s Global ERP team, to ensure timelines and budgets for enterprise initiative are rationalized, prioritized and executed to plan for the Americas business.

  • Collaborate closely with the Regional executive team to lead the assessment, prioritization, and techno-economic feasibility of potential opportunities whilst maintaining Group alignment.

  • Provide technical leadership at the enterprise level and serve an integral role in supporting the Region operations.

  • Make recommendations and present business cases for technology initiatives and improvements, and collaborate with the Regional executive team and Global team to ensure that the company is aware of risk-potential, costs, and value as it relates to IT projects.

  • Develop a strong, technical team and operations capability.

  • Working with the Group CIO to develop, implement, and maintain a short- and long-term strategic technology and data roadmap in support of company business goals and objectives in alignment with the Group.

  • Leverage Glory’s shared-services teams, contribute in contract negotiations with IT vendors, contractors, and service providers; maximize use of in-house versus outsources services, establish strategic service provider partnerships.

  • Make technology-related recommendations supported by data for policy adoption that includes analysis of current regulatory actions, technological innovations, and fiduciary considerations.

  • Work with the Glory Global Solutions CISO to ensure data privacy and system security compliance for all operations across the Region.

  • Define metrics based on overall business objectives, report performance status, and coordinate overall technology budget.

  • Track and control the development of annual operating and investment budgets, staffing and technology operations.

  • Structure technology policies, procedures, and standards to ensure organizational success and compliance with Group direction.

  • Build, develop and grow business relationships vital to the success of the business and our overall relationship with the various stakeholders by sharing information and seeking input as appropriate.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Education Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field; Master’s degree in business or a technology-related discipline preferred.

    Qualifications:

  • Executive leadership experience demonstrating a track record of technology innovation, design, development, and implementation. Typically, this experience would include at least 15 years with organizational management, process improvement successes, strong financial acumen, successes leading complex contractual relationships, excellent understanding of customer behavior, and keen insights regarding technology and business trends.

  • Demonstrated success delivering user-centric tools while anticipating internal operational needs and delivering tools that result in value-added services to the organization.

  • Experience building high-performing technical teams, working with rapid growth, and implementing effective change.

  • Effective communicator and strategic thinker offering thought leadership in technological development with the demonstrated ability to implement and execute organizationally.

  • Demonstrated investment in personal development and growth by conducting research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable regarding industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new processes and system alterations, as well as to analyze and improve upon technology standards across the organization to maintain a technological advantage for teaching and learning.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Systems architecture ownership experience, which includes experience with or ownership of an ERP implementation.

  • Deep understanding of interconnected systems and the cost, performance, and strategic implications of making varying architecture choices.

  • Master Data Management and data science ownership.

  • Deep and applied understanding of data storage, architecture, and analysis, including advanced data science techniques.

  • Success in owning business results.

  • Possesses a solid blend of technical skills and strong people skills.
