Symantec Terriroty Manager in United States
Responsible for all Mid-Market revenue in assigned territory
Responsible for the management and closure of forecasted opportunities with value-added reseller partners including opportunities identified by Symantec and by the partner.
Will work with the partner to close and grow all Symantec opportunities in the territory and will spend 70-80% of time accompanying partner on end-user sales calls and closing deals.
Responsible for the overall growth and “health” of the registered and non-registered value-added resellers in the territory. Responsible for gaining and ensuring strong partner commitment to Symantec.
Typically responsible for larger accounts, with a larger quota/territory.
Expected to thoroughly know Symantec products and services and be a trusted advisor to the partner on Security & Availability solutions.
Will leverage specialists and SEs on opportunities that require additional depth and technical understanding.
Work with Inside Sales counterparts on the development and implementation of specific territory-focused sales and marketing activities to drive Partner revenue.
Initiate and develop a territory plan with matrixed sales organizations to ensure partner set is capable of territory's end user solution needs.
Contributes to the development of organization's goals and objectives.
Failure to obtain results or erroneous judgments or recommendations would normally have serious results and may require substantial expenditure of resources to correct and/or achieve project goals.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 4-6 years -- demonstrated sales account management experience. Ability to liaise with partners at all levels.
Excellent time management skills. Ability to take account ownership.
Good analytical capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills. Strong achievement against quota.
