STRUCTURAL has been established in UAE since 2008 and has offices/operations in Qatar and KSA.
Our integrated engineering company, STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES, is seekingan experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join the team in our Saudi Arabia office. As a Civil/Structural Engineer for STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES, you will be responsible for designing solutions that make the structures of the UAE and KSA stronger and last longer. This Civil/Structural Engineer position will be project based with possibility of continued employment thereafter. The project is expected to last 3 years with an expectation the employee will then transfer to a company role within our Saudi Arabia office.
At STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES, we spend our time working with our fully integrated repair companies to perform field investigations and develop repair solutions for existing structures and buildings. This position will be a role that requires broad knowledge of how structures are designed and behave, including: construction and deterioration mechanisms for concrete structures and specifically cooling towers is a preference.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following for the project:
Lead on-site investigation in collaboration with the project team.
Manage engineering aspects of the project internally, including coordination with the construction team, drafters, and technicians.
Interface with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Analyze field data to facilitate problem solving and repair design with relation to the project.
Perform and review analyses using a combination of hand calculations and finite element analysis software.
Be responsible for preparation of client deliverables, including construction drawings addressing changed conditions, RFIs, and written QA reports.
Candidates who meet the following requirements, may be considered for this exciting position:
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) is a preference
7+ years of applicable experience.
Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
Ability to speak and write in Arabic.
Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering a plus.
Enthusiasm and curiosity for solving problems and understanding how things work.
Solid understanding of how structures behave.
Ability to travel and work in the field, both locally and outside the local area.
Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Strong focus on working safely in a variety of challenging environments.
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
Experience with diagnosing root cause of deterioration of concrete and steel structures.
Experience with design software such as SAP2000, Ram Concept, SP Column, Mathcad and Prokon.
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or other BIM software.
Understanding of causes and repairs for reinforcing corrosion in concrete.
High-quality technical writing and communication.
Logical and systematic approach to problem solving.
