Albireo Energy, LLC IT Project Manager in United States

The IT Project Manager is responsible for project management processes and leveraging an integrated toolset to drive standardization, repeatable processes, and consistent behaviors across all projects. These processes include but are not limited to project initiation, change management, requirements gathering, weekly status report, user acceptance testing and project closure. The IT Project Manager is responsible for building out Project Management Office components, both processes and artifact templates, over time.

This position works closely with the Director of Enterprise Application and project team members (including IT business partners, systems analysts, developers, network engineers, and other IT professionals) to update status reports, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure overall project timelines and deliverables are being met.

Position Overview:

  • Work with Director of Enterprise Applications and CIO to:

  • Develop a streamlined IT Portfolio Management process for the intake and prioritization of project initiatives, and work with executive team to prioritize initiatives and manage backlog, and

  • Define a project execution methodology with a minimally viable set of project phases and deliverables within each phase.

  • Review project business cases to ensure accurate costs, project estimates and internal labor efforts are identified. Ensure approval of business case and presents to governing body.

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.

  • Develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring functional and technical feasibility.

  • Work with project contributors to develop detailed estimates of effort and duration for identified project tasks.

  • Develop detailed project plans that take resource allocation and task dependencies into account to ensure plans can accurately track progress.

  • Quickly assess situations, identify gaps and present possible solutions.

  • Identify, document and manage project risks and issues and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT development, infrastructure, operations, and business units, to ensure alignment and integration of project activities.

  • Report project status, outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.

  • Ensure resource availability and allocation (if required for project size).

  • Leverage standardized Project Change Control procedures to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.

  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.

  • Report and escalate project risks/issues to management as needed.

  • Establish/maintain relationships with third parties/vendors and coordinate delivery between internal/external team members where appropriate.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

  • Upon project completion, manage project transition to operational team and perform project postmortem analysis to identify areas of improvement.

  • Drive continuous improvement in project management practices, processes, and tools to enhance project delivery effectiveness and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. PMP certification is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus.

  • Experience in the construction industry is desired.

  • Familiarity with waterfall and Agile project methodologies is strongly desired.

  • Self-motivated, works with appropriate urgency, friendly and assertive.

  • Extremely detailed oriented and organized.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

  • Exceptional time management skills.

  • Works well under pressure, comfortable with change and complexity in dynamic environments.

  • Can shift readily between the "big picture" and the small-but-crucial details, knowing when to concentrate on each.

  • Demonstrated skill in project schedule development and execution.

  • Ability to identify and document issues, risks, and problems.

  • Proven experience managing IT projects of varying sizes and complexity, either in a corporate / enterprise environment or with a Microsoft Partner.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence.

Salary Range: $125k-$145k DOE.
