Description

Oversees a structured and organized program or the daily operations of a FCPRD/FCPS facility in the Sports & Athletics, Facilities and Children's Program section.

• Serves as liaison between participants, staff, and FCPRD;

• Represents FCPRD and follows department policies and procedures;

• Assists officials with enforcement of league / program rules;

• Maintains program / league records, statistics, standings, etc.;

• Responsible for overall facility cleanliness;

• Develops positive working relationship with participants, contracted organizations, and other staff;

• Ensures that operations of programs/facility run smoothly;

• Responsible for the opening and closing of facility;

• Knowledgeable on how each piece of fitness equipment works; and,

• Prepares facility for upcoming activity/rental.

Typical Qualifications

• Demonstrate good customer service;

• General knowledge of various sports;

• Ability to handle conflict and stressful situations;

• Good written and oral communication skills;

• Committed to community service;

• Good organization and management skills;

• First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred; and,

• Must be 18 years or older at the time of application.

Supplemental Information

This work requires occasional exertion of up to 40 pounds of force to move objects; work requires stooping, reaching, sitting, gripping, pulling, lifting, standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is not subject to adverse environmental conditions.
