The Enterprise Security Administrator is to contribute to the fulfillment of the Carhartt mission and vision by ensuring confidentiality, availability and integrity of network or systems within Information Technology Services. The Enterprise Security Administrator will support, administrate and evaluate security-focused tools, services and applications. This position will ensure compliance to security policies and procedures that relate to technical controls and systems. Develop and deliver training materials and administrate security awareness programs. Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies. Participate in incident handling and in projects that enhance protection strategies for the organization.


  • Provide services for identity related fulfilment requests based on standard operating procedures.

  • Ensure security log management is maintained and support expansion of log services.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to evaluate security for new application systems. Make recommendations for implementation.

  • Interface with user community to understand security needs and implement procedures to make appropriate accommodations.

  • Assist in the cyber security incident response plan and associated procedures.

  • Support and maintain an inventory of assets, along with categorization that assist in risk assessment efforts.

  • Maintain security related standard operating procedures and define new procedures needed.

  • Work with professionalism, integrity, respect and innovation as a member of Cyber Security team.

  • Identify and implement automated systems and procedures to reduce manual errors.


  • Bachelor's Degree Required in Related Field

Required Skills and Experience

  • Or related security certification(s) is required.

  • 5 or more years of progressive experience with Information Systems and at least 2 years of computer systems security administration experience.

  • Must possess strong knowledge of information security management and practices.

  • Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards for systems security.

  • Strong project management skills, good communication skills, change management skills.

  • Demonstrate personal traits of a high level of motivation, team orientation, professionalism, trust, and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.
