Director of Recruiting
Alliance Defending Freedom is looking for a highly skilled Director of Recruiting to join us in our Scottsdale, AZ or Lansdowne, VA office. As Director of Recruiting, you will be responsible for the strategy, process, and tools of talent acquisition in addition to delivering against annual recruiting goals. You will develop and guide ADF’s recruitment strategy, focusing on creating innovative sourcing and outreach strategies that result in a top-notch candidate experience, and use data analytics to continuously improve the process and outcomes. You will play a critical role in helping scale the ministry from both a people and process perspective, with the goal of maintaining an exceptionally high bar for the talent we bring into the organization and the hiring processes we use to accomplish that end. You will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and be a member of the HR Leadership team to ensure recruitment practices and programs support ADF’s values, culture, goals, and business strategies.
Your Essential Responsibilities
Define and execute a recruitment strategy and support initiatives to build a full life-cycle process—from sourcing to onboarding, emphasizing talent pipeline development to ensure we meet current and future workforce needs
Oversee the sourcing, hiring, and recruiting efforts of the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager experience
Create talent acquisition strategies that shorten the time to fill and ensure new team members have a positive onboarding experience with the organization
Create and manage an annual recruiting plan and budget, tracking talent acquisition projects while monitoring spending to ensure the team is meeting hiring goals
Develop and implement a set of strategic programs to communicate our “employer brand” in partnership with Corporate Communications to further enhance our ability to attract an optimal blend of skills across all functional areas
Create custom guidelines for hiring practices within the organization
Provide strategic insights to internal stakeholders on emerging trends that allow the organization to attract best-in-class talent
Lead searches for Director and above talent
Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors that support talent acquisition efforts, regularly assessing vendor performance to ensure alignment with organizational priorities
Develop and maintain relevant dashboards to monitor recruitment efforts and productivity
Use data to drive decision-making and productivity
Leverage and optimize recruitment technology and vendor portfolio
Provide necessary support to hiring managers while they collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team
Manage contractual relationships with contract recruiters, placement agencies, conference sponsors, and Internet job search sites
Partner and advise on our international recruitment efforts
Other Responsibilities:

Make financially bearing decisions
Stay up to date with the latest technology and best practices
Research competition, investigate benchmarks, and provide suggestions for improvement

Skills you need to succeed:
Demonstrated proficiency in:
Building and scaling recruiting functions and devising innovative strategies to source and build talent pipelines
Utilizing applicant tracking systems to support recruiting and reporting requirements
Dedication to the highest level of quality in identifying top talent, providing exceptional client service, and building and maintaining an optimal candidate experience
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills—impeccable communication, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail are critical competencies
Strong leadership skills
Excellent business and quantitative acumen and demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to drive effectiveness in the recruiting process
Excellent project and program management skills with superior attention to detail
Teamwork—proactive and willing to roll up sleeves to get the job done
Ability to:
Collaborate cross-functionally, influence the organization at all levels, and advise and partner with senior leaders
Work onsite at least three days per week
Education and/or experience:
Bachelor’s degree
12-18 years of full life-cycle recruiting experience
Minimum of 5 years of people management experience
