Direct Support Professional (DSP) Day Habilitations
Reports to: Networks Day Habilitation Program Manager
Location: Onondaga County
Full-Time: Monday – Friday, 8:30a – 4:30p
Non-Exempt: $16.00 - $17.61/hour DOE, plus mileage reimbursement

Offering person-centered services that empower individuals of all ages and abilities to reach their full potential as part of our community. Our focus is supporting individuals by ways of residential housing, mental health and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive employee to provide person centered services and supports to assist individuals during Day Habilitation services to achieve independence and maintain their health and safety.
Responsibilities Include:
Promoting growth and independence with personal needs and ADLs
Implement participants’ goals as written in habilitation plan
Implement behavior guidelines/plans as written
Provide support to participants in building friendships and maintaining contact with family and friends
Transport and accompany participants to activities of their choice
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to appropriately communicate with diverse community members and document results. Basic word processing and e-mail skills are required. High school diploma preferred. Experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Basic word processing and e-mail skills are required.
Conditions of Employment
Must possess a valid driver’s license and transportation. Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds. Must be able and willing to demonstrate direct care duties, including personal assistance, as need arises.
