FEV North America, Inc Business Development Manager- Vehicle Engineering in United States

Responsibilities:

  • Support FEV Business Development team's interactions with OEMs and Tier 1 customers for vehicle optimization and core vehicle development

  • Sales responsibility for full vehicle engineering, including vehicle attribute optimization (energy/thermal management, NVH, dynamics, etc.), architectures, BiW, chassis, design, integration, builds and testing solutions

  • Lead development of customer accounts, drive technology adoption, secure future business, and increase profitability

  • Develop strong customer partnerships across all levels of the organization

  • Maintain frequent and regular contact with customer decision makers (purchasing and engineering)

  • Understand customer road maps and align with company goals and objectives

  • Support identification and development of new business opportunities

  • Develop and execute sales plans

  • Have ability to hold oneself accountable for results while meeting/exceeding key performance metrics

  • Support engineering team to identify and meet customer requirements

  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

  • Support trade shows, congresses and exhibitions from a business development and staffing perspective

Qualifications:

  • Requires a BS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering

  • A BA degree in Business will be considered if business experience strongly supports technical competence in vehicle engineering

  • At least 2-5 years of relevant business development and sales experience in the described markets is desired, but not required

  • Candidate must have strong communication skills

  • Experience with automotive, Tier 1 and start-ups customers is a plus

  • Experience with vehicle engineering services is a plus

  • Ability to develop and support detailed technical presentations to customers

  • Exceptional written / oral English skills

  • Ability to support detailed and clear solutions, quotations and proposals to customers.

  • Ability to function in a matrixed, team organization with minimal supervision
