What is the Job

voco Orchard Singapore is seeking a dynamic and passionate Senior Learning & Development Executive to join the team! As Senior L&D executive, you will manage and deliver the hotel training programmes in line with brand and hotel policies and regulatory requirements. This role develops and maintains training resources, improvement systems that promote growth and development for all hosts.

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive L&D programs tailored to the needs of various positions (both technical & soft skills training).

  • Coordinates and follows up on all corporate, internal and external L&D initiatives and programmes.

  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback mechanisms, performance evaluations, and other metrics.

  • Continuously refine the improve training materials and delivery methods based on feedback and performance data.

  • Work closely with department heads, HR personnel, and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop targeted solutions.

  • Collaborate with external training providers or educational institutions as needed to supplement internal training efforts.

  • Liaises with local and foreign educational institutions to recruit and select students for internship placement in the organization.

  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, evaluation, and training materials.

  • Prepare reports relating to L&D on a monthly basis and as and when required.

  • Maintains appropriate systems to record and measure necessary aspects of colleagues’ L&D.

  • Plans and communicates monthly L&D calendar to ensure that all hosts are kept abreast of learning opportunities within the organisation.

  • Liaises with Workforce Singapore and administers SkillsFuture claims for relevant courses.

  • Ensure training programs comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.

  • Stay updated on changes in regulations or best practices related to training and development and to the hotel industry to continuously upgrade and expand knowledge base.

What we need from you

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, Psychology or any other relevant field.

  • 2 years’ related experience in Learning & Development in a hospitality or related industry.

  • ACTA/ACLP/DACE/DDDLP certification will be an advantage, but not a requirement.

  • With good communication and people management skills.

  • Has strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.

  • Enjoys interacting with people.

  • Must speak fluent English and ideally a second language
