  1. Under the general guidance of Assistant Laundry Manager or his delegate, and within the limits of established IHC and local hotel policies and procedures, oversees and assists in the day to day operation of the laundry Department.

  • Reports directly to the Assistant Laundry Manager, or his delegate.

  • Provides supervision Laundry personnel.

  • Interacts when appropriate with Hotel guests and outside laundry customers.

  • Coordinates functions and activities with other departments as appropriate.

Duties and Responsibilities

FINANCIAL RETURNS

  • Provides daily production figures to the Laundry Manger or his Assistant for the monthly laundry production report.

  • Keep proper control & follow up on guests supplies

  • Supervising the day-to-day operations of the laundry and dry cleaning departments

  • Maintains an adequate stock of chemicals for the laundry operation on weekly basis

PEOPLE:

  • Ensure self and colleagues attendance in all on and of job training sessions.

  • Establishes and maintains effective employee relations.

  • Living the winning ways on daily work life and encouraging team.

  • Actively participate in all kind of brand initiatives involving team members.

GUEST EXPERIENCE:

  • Checks quality of processed laundry and dry cleaning work to ensure optimum quality of work.

  • Ensures that washing formulas, which are set by the Laundry Manager, are followed accurately.

  • Ensures that hotel linen and uniforms are processed efficiently and that there is an adequate supply of clean linen especially.

  • Ensure delivering guests laundry & dry cleaning on time.

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS:

  • Makes necessary maintenance orders for laundry department

  • Ensures that the laundry equipment is kept clean and is well maintained.

  • Ensures at all times that the laundry plant is kept in a clean and orderly fashion.

  • Assists in monitoring energy saving system in laundry department.

  • Complies with Hotel’s Health, Safety & Hygiene Policy.

  • Familiarise self with emergency and evacuation procedures

aCCOUNTABILITY

This is a Supervisory position in full-service hotel with high business volume. Responsible for the supervision of a group of people, Produce and maintain quality of service as per the IHG standard.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Age 18 Above

Sex Male/Female

Education & Experience Elementary School. At least two years’ experience in pressing methods in a first class hotel laundry or commercial laundry.

Language English essential – Arabic an advantage

Personality appearance Friendly and cooperative, neat, clean and tidy
