The Cognitive Services team believes in innovation. We are using the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to create operational efficiencies and enable all our associates to perform in a smarter, easier and faster way towards delivering Cerner's mission to contribute to the systemic improvement of health care delivery and the health of communities, all with the highest quality. We work on complex solutions, so we value the simplicity in the way we operate, fostering a highly collaborative environment, empowering and encouraging decision making in all levels of our team.
Do you want to define and document vision, functional requirements, and risk analysis using solution management tools and processes? If so, come join Cerner as a Solution Designer. You will work with the development teams to design solutions based upon written requirements. The Solution Designer uses methodology tools that follow the software delivery life cycle (SDLC) for best practice standards, to catalog and trace requirements, and create visual design mock-ups.
The Solution Designer acts as the liaison to translate business objectives and desired outcomes into the functional requirements and agile stories for software developers to go build. You will be responsible for ensuring what is being developed meets the needs of the stakeholders through verification of automated test coverage and functional testing as needed. You will also support and communicate solution and functional updates and risks to leadership, stakeholders, and dependent product teams. More specific to the type of work is the ability to design conversational digital assistant dialogues for the enterprise in chat or voice form similar to Alexa and Cortana skills available in the consumer market.
