Vectrus Arms Room Custodian Lead in Kuwait

With a general knowledge physical security and accountability of government equipment,the Arms Room Custodian, Leadis responsible for receiving,logging, inventorying, controlling, distribution andsafeguarding Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AA&E) and sensitive items in aConsolidated Arms Room.The duties also includes maintaining orestablishing accountability in accordance withthe requirements of Standing Operating Procedures (SOP),Military Supply and Physical Security Regualations, Performance Work Statement(PWS), knowledge, good judgement and experience in safe custody operations.Responsible for of sensitive items.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
1.Performsthe full range of work involved in the storage, issue, receipt and security of AA&Eand other sensitive items within a Consolidated Arms Room.
2.Maintain100% inventory of all assigned sensitive items and associated equipment ensuringthey are properly accounted for at all times.
3.Issuesand receives weapons from all tenant unit personnel having authorization tostore weapons in the weapons storage facility
4.Inventoryof all weapons assigned to the site at the beginning of each rotation
5.Responsible for tracking all SafeCustody activities.
6.Adjust Weapons Custodian personnelactivities to maximize production and minimize lag time.
7.Assists in scheduling manpower forknown and unknown activities and plan for possible contingency/surge operations
8.Maintains daily tracker of safecustody activities
9.Mentors personnel on current Armyand Company standards and policies pertaining to Safe Custody operations.
10.Makes on the spot corrections for minor infractions andactions that require correction.
11.Enforces Safety and fire prevention standards and policies.
12.Coordinates documentation for transitional period forrotational units
13.Maintains the administrativeshop’s filing system in accordance with the ARIMS standards.
14.Maintain Consolidated Arms Room Master Allocation Listing(MAL).
15.Operate military/contractor leased vehicle.
16.Performs other duties as directed.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENTDIRECTLY USED:
Various items for Safe Custody,Small Arms Repairman tools, Technical Manuals, Office equipment, Computers andPrinters.
Work is generally conducted in a securedshop environment. However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the outdoorsarea with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
Work may require heavy lifting exceeding50 pounds, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, andworking with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure tophysical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of personal protectiveequipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes but is notlimited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protectivedevices. Must comply with Army SOP, OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and publishedcompany work rules and policies.

Education/Certifications: One year related experience in weapons maintenancemay be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
1.High School graduate or equivalent.
2.Military (DD214 required) or civilianequivalent training in physical security, accountability of sensitive equipmentsuch as Supply Mangement or Unit Armorer Certification.
1-yearsof experience in the security AA&E or supply operations management.
1.Collaborative work style fostering cooperation andteamwork.
2.Ability to work effectively with employees andmanagement of all levels to include multi-national staff, superiors, andranking military officers.
3.Ability to handle confidential company and employeeinformation with complete discretion.
4.Ability to communicate proficiently in English,both verbally and written.
5.Ability to identify all variants of military armsand associated equipment
6.Must be knowledgeable of Physical SecurityRequirements for AA&E IAW ARs 190-11 and 190-13
7.Must be knowledgeable of Key and Lock Controlprocedures IAW AR 190-51
8.Must be knowledgeable of the supply controlrequirements of AA&E IAW AR 710-2 and DA Pam 710-2-1
9.Basic be proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint andOutlook applications.
10.Mustpossess a High-level organizational and planning skills to ensure workflow ismanaged efficiently and accurately.
11.Abilityto read, analyze, and interpret reports and documents.
