Our Finland locations include Vantaa and Joensuu, employing over 700 professionals supporting functions such as production, instrument and reagent manufacturing, R&D, marketing, sales, quality, administrative support and supply chain. We hire experts in different fields including engineering, chemistry, microbiology and bioinformatics. How will you make an impact?

We are currently recruiting a Senior Software Engineer to join our R&D Software team in Vantaa to work with world world-class Laboratory Automation System and Clinical and Industrial Analyzers!

The team consists of 30+ software engineers and you will also be working with other team members like project managers, product managers, scientists as well as hardware, usability, verification and validation engineers

What will you do:

  • Design, Develop and Unit Test embedded and/or application level software.

  • Collaborate with other specialists to define the higher-level Functional and Nonfunctional Requirements

  • Contribute to software architecture, design and interface definition as a team member

  • Write software requirements, architecture and design in compliance internal standard operating procedures as well as relevant medical device standards

How will you get here:

  • M.Sc. or Bachelor Degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 years proven track record of designing and building highly scalable, maintainable, secure and robust software.

  • Strong knowledge and experience of C#.

  • Basic understanding of Object Oriented Design Principles and Patterns

  • Basic knowledge of UML and/or other modeling methods.

  • Working expertise in Test Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing frameworks.

  • Experience working in Agile teams, using Agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).

  • Proficient English both written and spoken.

These will impress us even more:

  • Knowledge of web-based UI frameworks (i.e. Vue.js)

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms like AWS and/or Azure as well as both Windows and Linux software development experience

  • Experience with IVD regulations
