Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Director of Accounting in the Health Pharm/Biotech industry located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including leading and managing the accounting, tax, and treasury functions, as well as maintaining responsibility for the company's accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a well-structured, cost-effective accounting organization to support the growing business platform

• Maintain responsibility for the accounting operations including cash management, forecasting and budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, revenue recognition, financial reporting, treasury, audit, and tax

• Lead financial system implementations or integrations when necessary

• Contribute to operational issues and efficiencies including major contract structuring and negotiation, costing evaluations, and pricing

• Ensure financial stewardship for the company and meet information needs such as dashboard/flash reporting

• Use strong business acumen and thorough knowledge of US GAAP to solve problems and make decisions

• Use strong interpersonal and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced culture that is social, team-oriented, but disciplined, focused, and driven to strong performance

• Demonstrate strong leadership and managerial skills, including identifying, assessing, recruiting, and developing talent

• Be detail-oriented, organized, and focused on meeting deadlines and getting things done with a hands-on approach and a strong sense of urgency. Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the Health Pharm/Biotech industry.

• Proven expertise in Budgeting and Forecasting, Cash Flow Forecasts, and Annual Financial Reporting is essential.

• Should hold a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• A professional certification as CPA required.

• Must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills are required.

• Should have exceptional analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and other financial management tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed for liaising with other departments and stakeholders.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy of reports.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies and plans.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound financial decisions.

• Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
