Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Position will be a 12 hour AM or a 12 hour PM Shift The frequency of the following activities may vary according to the requirements of the job task assigned. As a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic, you must be able to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain Industrial Refrigeration Systems and all related equipment. Experience in Wastewater Treatment is a must. Boiler seal or Engineering License preferred. Able to work effectively under time constraints. Able to perform electrical and mechanical preventative and predictive maintenance as tasked. Able to communicate effectively, and be proactive in recognizing and reporting unsafe conditions and other mechanical concerns. Be proactive in daily plant operations to ensure maximum plant efficiencies and product quality and capacity. Assists in maintaining a relevant and accurate mechanical parts inventory. Reliable and willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift, in a subzero environment. Must be capable of working at heights up to 35 feet. Strong mechanical aptitude to repair, maintain and operate Powered Industrial Equipment. Must possess a basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting. Basic welding knowledge, or the ability to learn. Must have Forklift, scissor lift and high reach experience

Requirements

Must have at least one year working in a manufacturing environment or a one-year certificate from college or technical school. *Must have a valid Driver s License.
