This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Responsible Sourcing specialist will build, maintain and manage the due diligence system of Cargill Agricultural supply chain in EMEA to address the requirements of sustainability legislation such as EUDR, German act, CS3D, CSRD in collaboration with other regions within Cargill Agricultural Supply Chains and with other responsible sourcing resources across Cargill enterprises or at global level.

Key Accountabilities

  • Become the subject matter expert in sustainability due diligence regulation in EMEA (and specifically in the EU) and maintain this expertise as the legislation evolves in partnership with the Government Relation team.

  • Translate regulations into a CASC EMEA due diligence system, in collaboration with other relevant functions (Supply chain, Planning, Commercial…), which may include: grievance procedures, segregation systems, verification procedures, third party audits, mass balance rulesets, supplier questionnaires etc. adapted to Cargill sites and processes.

  • Drive the execution of supplier improvement plans where appropriate and work directly with internal stakeholders to deliver results which can be integrated into ESG reporting at the local or global level.

  • Develop key metrics and KPIs around sustainability due diligence to ensure the value and progress is transparent to internal and external stakeholders. Implement and maintain a process to track actual results against commitments and report program performance outcomes to key stakeholders.

  • Partner with the marketing and communications teams to optimally position sustainability at the customer level and internally to tell the story of our efforts across the supply chain.

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in Food safety and quality due diligence systems or Biofuels compliance management

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
