Web Specialist

The Web Specialist is a key position focused on the technical aspects of maintaining and enhancing our clinic members’ websites, complemented by important web design responsibilities. This role emphasizes proficiency in website functionality, performance optimization in a WordPress environment, and the application of web design skills to support member branding and user-experience objectives. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office work a minimum of two times per week.

Pay range is $24.00–$27.00 per hour DOE and the following benefits:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Website maintenance and technical enhancement: Conduct regular maintenance of member websites, including updates, troubleshooting, and technical improvements to boost functionality and user experience.

  • Web development and design integration: Employ WordPress, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript skills for development tasks, along with creating wireframes, design mockups, and style guides for cohesive branding.

  • Content management and design synergy: Work collaboratively to manage, update, and optimize web content, ensuring visual appeal and seamless design integration.

  • SEO and digital marketing support: Assist in implementing SEO strategies and use analytics tools to evaluate and enhance website performance, considering both technical and design aspects.

  • Focus on user experience and accessibility: Enhance website layouts and content for optimal user experience and accessibility, maintaining a balance between functionality and design.

  • Maintain accurate billing data by tracking new service activations, cancellations, and monthly plan changes across all relevant platforms.

  • Project participation and technical support: Contribute to web-related projects, focusing on technical and design aspects, and ensuring alignment with member requirements.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Solid technical and design expertise: Experience in web maintenance and development, with a strong understanding of design principles (Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, HTML, CSS).

  • SEO and analytics acumen: Knowledge of SEO principles and their application in web maintenance and design to optimize website performance.

  • Basic project management experience

  • Collaborative communication skills: Ability to work effectively with both technical and creative teams.

  • Problem-solving and adaptability: Skilled at addressing website challenges with solutions that effectively combine technical and design elements.

  • Dedication to exceptional user experience: Focus on delivering high-quality user experiences with a commitment to website accessibility and design aesthetics.

  • Eagerness for continuous learning: Motivated to stay abreast of evolving trends in web development and design.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in digital marketing

  • Experience using project/task management software (i.e., Basecamp, Workamajig, Salesforce)

  • WordPress experience

  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Hybrid work environment (work in-office minimum two days per week required).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. This position will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
