Ameresco Project Coordinator Co-Op in Vancouver, British Columbia

Ameresco Canada Inc. is in the midst of a multi-year project for Public Services and Procurement Canada at 3 Correctional Service of Canada Federal prisons (Bath Institution, Millhaven Institution and Joyceville Institution).

The project has been broken down into numerous packages of work performed by different Subcontractors.

As each package of work is completed, Ameresco Canada Inc. is responsible for various closeout tasks. This includes the preparation of an Operations and Maintenance Manual that is handed over to the Owner to assist them in operating the equipment and systems that have been completed as part of each package of work.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to, and working closely with, the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Compiling existing documentation from various subcontractors for the closeout of the work.

  • Performing various coordinating tasks associated with the closeout activities.

  • Attending meetings with Subcontractors and Owner associated with the closeout of the subcontract packages of work.

  • Formatting the information compiled into a hard copy and/or electronic Operations and Maintenance Manuals to be handed over to the Owner for their use in the ongoing operation of the completed work.

  • Liaising with Owner to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives of the Manuals.

  • Visiting the site to gather information.

  • Delivering finished results within established deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University Student in a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering program.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Excellent time management and communication skills.

  • Able to work with team members, Subcontractors and the Owner to complete the Operations and Maintenance Manuals.

  • Able to breakdown the overall task into doable actions and set timeframes.

  • Experienced in the use of the Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project).

  • Able to work independently to complete tasks.

  • A valid Province of Ontario Drivers Licence.
