Overview Health and Safety Manager Based in Livingston ‘Safety First’ is our ethos and culture and part of our core values at JBT Corporation. We understand risk is a part of doing business but managing this risk is a priority to all our employees. Currently we are searching for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to manage and support our safety principles. Responsibilities As our Health and Safety Manager you will lead and deliver on sound health, safety, and environmental practices, identifying, documenting and fully aligning these to our key JBT HSE strategic objectives, ensuring these are understood and communicated throughout the business. By developing strong working relationships at all levels, you will deliver HSE initiatives and training to promote a strong safety culture by organising training sessions and safety awareness programs for employees. You will conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards. As well as investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, and provide recommendations for prevention. It is essential to maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, and compliance documentation. We would also expect you to stay informed about local and national safety regulations and industry best practices. Collaboration is key as a Health and Safety Manager you will be working closely with cross-functional teams to drive safety initiatives and continuous improvement. The Health and Safety Manager role will support our manufacturing facility in Livingston and Leicester as well as our Customer Care team across EMEA. It will also lead how we operate safely while our teams are working at customer sites. Travel is required for this role, and this means staying away from home for short periods of time. What we look for in a Health and Safety Manager A confident, resilient individual who can positively influence change. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail, with the competence to communicate at all levels of the business. Flexible and ability to deal with pressure from time to time. NEBOSH National General Certificate with Tech IOSH membership (minimum). A minimum of three years of experience in safety management in a manufacturing, fabrication or engineering role. In-depth knowledge of UK safety regulations and standards and their application.
