Amazon Strategic Partnership Manager, AWS in Tokyo, Japan

Description

AWS is seeking an experienced Strategic Partnership Manager to support the growth of our Strategic Partnership Engagement Team. As a Partnership Manager, you will deliver on our strategy to build mind share and adoption of AWS across strategic business partners. You will be responsible for driving top line revenue growth and overall end customer adoption across all market segments through partner engagement.

The ideal candidate has both a business background that enables them engage at the CXO level, and a sales background that enables them to easily interact with field sales reps. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to convey compelling value propositions. You will leverage your management and leadership capabilities to identify and manage risks, resolve issues and escalate where appropriate to drive joint partnership and business plan. You will be comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high energy environment and will be a creative and analytical problem solver with a passion for delivering results. You will work with cross functional teams to create and execute on strategic business plans, inclusive of enablement, practice development, and marketing, to execute achievement against partner goals.

Key job responsibilities

  • Advise customers and commercial sales teams on the value of partners, align partners with the AWS sales teams to drive successful sales outcomes

  • Expand existing AWS footprint as well as drive new customer engagements with partners to grow overall revenue with a focus on business outcomes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to build input-focused project plans for achievement of key measures

  • Communicate program status updates to stakeholders and business leaders through various governance mechanisms

  • Plan, create standardized reporting, performance metrics, and operational process optimization

  • Drive and provide business insights for deep dives in business reviews.

  • Building and maintaining relationship with partner teams and internal AWS stakeholders

About the team

The JP Partner Core team is a cross-partner team that helps AWS partners in Japan deliver impactful benefits to customers' business transformations by working with AWS partner representatives and AWS business and technology members in Japan and overseas to provide a variety of AWS services to partners and make recommendations to partners on the latest AWS technologies and business solutions.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Tokyo, 13, JPN

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience working with Systems Integrators, Consulting Companies or ISVs through Alliance Management, Account management, Program management and Business Development engagements. • Prior experience working with Systems Integrators, Consulting Companies or ISVs

  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders including sales, marketing, technical, product management and account management teams

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Fluent Japanese and business level English
