Job Description

The Division of Career and Adult Education, Bureau of Grants Administration and Compliance is seeking a Program Specialist IV who will ensure program quality and effectiveness. Your key responsibilities will include establishing and implementing a comprehensive quality assurance and monitoring system covering compliance, performance, fund utilization, and technical support.

This role requires a highly organized and motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You must be able to travel and confidently communicate with large groups. It is also important that you demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while working closely with colleagues and stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a system for quality assurance and monitoring.

  • Monitor compliance, program performance, and fund utilization.

  • Provide technical assistance to various stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate professionalism and timeliness in monitoring assignments.

  • Balance multiple priorities while maintaining productivity under tight timeframes.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Contribute to program improvement and risk assessment.

  • Conduct program monitoring and fiscal reviews.

  • Follow up on recommendations and assist in program implementation.

  • Communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism.

  • As assigned, participates in, or represents the office in meetings, briefings, conferences, etc., enhancing the accomplishment of responsibilities and department initiatives.

    • Experience in compliance and regulatory monitoring.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software and tools.

  • Experience in training and development of staff in quality assurance processes.

  • Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups.

    + + Annual Leave - All full-time Career Service employees filling established positions earn annual leave in varying increments dependent upon years of creditable service.
