The Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, 1st DCA Region has an opening in our Tallahassee office for a full-time legal assistant in our criminal trial division. The legal assistant is responsible for opening files, drafting and electronically filing basic pleadings, answering telephones and other tasks as assigned. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook. Further, candidates must be able to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and project a professional and friendly demeanor in all inter-office, client, court personnel, and opposing counsel interactions and communications. The regular work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter and resume through People First.
