Job Description

Responsibilities & Duties

Technical Performance

  • Produce and deliver accurate financial reporting that align with the business’s weekly and monthly deliverable requirements and fiscal calendar.

  • Prepare and maintain complex financial models particularly to support the annual planning process.

  • Assist in the development of the annual plan/budget with various key stakeholders.

  • Complete monthly analysis of actual SG&A costs and provide explanations for variances to Outlook/Plan. Support the month end close process performing reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of financial transactions, maintain and adjust for accruals and prepayments.

  • Develop and improve consolidated reporting.

  • Perform ad-hoc strategic and financial analyses and research assignments.

  • Other ad-hoc tasks as and when they are required.

Customer Focus

  • Provide exceptional customer service by delivering a service that meets and exceeds customer expectations

  • Work with stakeholders to maximize opportunities, minimize expenses and achieve operations and SLA/KPI targets

Policy, Process & Procedures

  • Contribute and execute continuous improvement efforts in areas such as reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities

  • Create & update DTPs for new and existing processes. Ensure all approved DTPs are stored in the central repository site

  • Ensure compliance with agreed KPI's/metrics for business performance

  • Ensure full compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls and AECOM Internal Audit requirements

Participate and contribute to the success of both internal and external audits

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

  • CPA Certification is an advantage

  • 4+ years of experience in a medium or large size company

  • Experience with large company ERP systems – i.e. Cognos, TM1, Hyperion, Oracle etc.

  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting standards

  • High proficiency in Excel; experience involving extensive work with complex spreadsheets.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office

  • Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools is considered an asset.

  • Works independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating a willingness to collaborate with colleagues at various levels of seniority, including very senior stakeholders, on a variety of initiatives.

  • Possesses functional expertise and deep business acumen in their business unit, service line or discipline.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.

  • Professional and diligent with excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications
