Boeing Brazil is seeking Associate Propulsion Project Management and Integration Engineer , reporting to the Propulsion Engineering Manager, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos office.

The Associate Propulsion Project Management and Integration Engineer will join Boeing Commercial Aircraft team who provide support to all Boeing commercial models both in development and in airline service. These models include programs such as the 737MAX, 747-8, 767, 777, 787, the 777-9 family of airplanes, or all-new airplane(s) that our product development organization studies.

The engineers will work on the project management and integration of the several propulsion systems, like Design and Certification for Thrust Reverser, Thrust Reverser Actuation System, Engine Controls, Fuels, Fuel Quantity Indication System, Engine Installation activities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs project management duties (i.e. planning, managing, reporting) for delivery against key program initiatives.

  • Monitors project execution and prioritized projects based on Program commitments.

  • Communicates openly and effectively with other roles and skillsets to address any issues, concerns or roadblocks, as well as identifying opportunities for efficiency and improvement.

  • Identifies and tracks risks and mitigation plan for key program initiatives.

  • Collaborates with internal finance team to monitor actual cost incurred against released budget and support reporting requirements.

  • Contribute to KPI’s to provide proper visibility of the project portfolio progress and performance.

  • Supports application, training and visuals of Agile Project Management environments.

  • Integrate the several teams aiming the conclusion of the project.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil

  • Must have a degree in Engineering

  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). Applicable to Brazilian, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing visa sponsor

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Knowledge or certification through FAA or other regulatory agencies

  • Relevant experience with system design and integration during an airplane development program

  • Occasional travel may be required in support of the program and customer

  • Relevant experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
