SUNY Upstate Medical University Registered Nurse - CARE Program Nurse in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary: The CARE Program Nurse will function out of the Child Abuse Referral and Evaluation (CARE) Program located in the McMahon Ryan Child and exemplifies the Upstate mission, vision, and values acting in accordance with Upstate policies and procedures. Provides triage scheduling, and assistance with the physical examinations of children who have been abused. In an effort to provide complete customer satisfaction, the nurse should accurately listen and respond appropriately to requests made by multidisciplinary team members and primary care physicians. The CARE Program nurse should give high priority to customer service and complete customer satisfaction. The nurse must be able to adjust through a rapidly changing environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State and two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience in an acute care specialty area.

Preferred Qualifications:

Acute care RN experience in Emergency Services. SANE-A and SANE-P certification

Work Days:

Part-time (0.6 FTE), Monday thru Friday 8:30 - 5:00

Salary Range/Pay Rate:

SG20- Based on experience + differential
