An exciting opportunity is available for an Environmental Consultant to join our New South Wales Planning and Environmental Approvals Team based in either Sydney or Newcastle.

In this role you will play a key role in the delivery of our strong project pipeline of projects in environmental planning, impact assessment and approvals .You will contribute to significant projects across a range of sectors with a strong focus on renewables, energy storage, transport and water.

The role is suited to an environmental professional looking to take the next step in their career and expand and diversify their experience. You will be part of a highly experienced and respected team and will have access to mentoring and development opportunities.

The role:

You will work alongside highly experienced professionals that will support you to grow and develop professionally. You will:

  • Work with clients throughout project planning phase in the preparation of environmental constraints reports, scoping documents, review of environmental factors, environmental impact assessments and statutory planning submissions.

  • Prepare high quality environmental approvals documentation and environmental management plans.

  • Work in a team that is part of national practice, enabling you to work on projects across Australia with our 265 strong Environmental Solutions business.

Here’s what you’ll need :

We are looking for an enthusiastic and values driven individual to work across a diverse suite of projects across multiple industry sectors. In this role you will develop your consulting, project management and technical skills through delivering a range of environmental consulting projects. You will have:

  • A degree/post graduate qualification in environmental science, environmental planning or related discipline.

  • Consulting experience in environmental planning, impact assessment and approvals.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the application of New South Wales and Commonwealth environmental planning legislation.

  • Exceptional organisational skills with strong motivation and ability to work self-directed.
