       License and Certification Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator's Certificate in Educational Leadership and/or Support Personnel License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.Education Qualifications: Master's degree in related field required. Specialist or doctorate degree in related field preferred.Experience Qualifications: Five years of successful experience supporting Multilingual Learners at multiple levels with proven leadership in development and implementation of curricular content, assessment, and program infrastructure required. Preferred experience includes local school administrative experience, experience supporting program compliance, experience in the design and delivery of professional development to support research-based best practices instructional methodology for Multilingual Learners; experience working with building leadership; experience as an instructional coach or similar staff development role.Skills Qualifications: Ability to work successfully with colleagues; ability to lead the development and support the Multilingual Learner Program; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to be task oriented, a visionary leader, and possess successful project management skills; strong technology skills in Microsoft Office; ability to project and generate a positive attitude; and ability to effect change.Primary Responsibilities: To build capacity in all teachers who provide instruction to ML students and to ensure pervasive and integrated language and content instruction for all ML students. Build capacity of school leaders who support local school implementation of language services. Support district coaches and specialists to ensure implementation of research based professional learning strategies while also, supporting compliance and programmatic duties.1. Collaborate with district partners to develop and implement processes for ensuring program compliance for identifying, serving, and exiting ML students are implemented with fidelity across the district.a. Develop and implement training for these processes.b. Monitor district and school compliance reports to ensure processes are effective and address any compliance issues or concerns in a timely manner.2. Collaborate with the Multilingual Learner Program Director to monitor and analyze program data to support programmatic decisions including identification of professional learning needs to support school leaders in implementing their local education agency (LEA) and to support teachers in providing effective language and content instruction to ML students.a. Collaborate with district partners and assist in development of a robust pipeline for both ESOL teachers and content teachers endorsed to provide both content and language instruction to ML students.b. Develop and support initiatives to retain ESOL teachers.3. Develop and facilitate district professional learning opportunities to support the ESOL Instructional Strategies.4. Oversee the development of instructional resources to support ESOL instructional calendars, ESOL AKS, and common assessments for ESOL AKS, and other curriculum supports for the ML Program.5. Collaborate with coordinators and instructional coaches in the Teaching and Learning Department to share ESOL Instructional Strategies that support integration into content curriculum and instructional plans.6.
