Hussmann Buyer-Sourcing Specialist in Suwanee, Georgia
NOTE: EXPERIENCE WITH SOURCING RAW MATERIALS SUCH AS COPPER, SHEETMETAL, AND STEEL ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR THIS ROLE.
Responsible for ordering/managing all raw material, subcontracted sheet metal, and powder coating. Responsible for sourcing, price analysis between suppliers, supplier certification, buying and purchasing.
Will do cost analysis for insourcing sheet metal parts and making recommendations to bring parts back in.
Will enterface with engineering for sheet metal revisions to orders and drawings. Will also manage all of the item master data elements for sheet metal parts in BAAN.
Place PO’s daily or as needed for copper, structural steel, sheet metal, subcontracted parts and powder coating.
Analyze and evaluate material availability, delivery performance, quality and inventory goals and work closely with suppliers in negotiating and resolving schedules, inventory levels, shortages and other material issues.
Attends start up meetings and works closely with supervisors and leads to understand production demands and to ensure sufficient material is on hand or in the pipeline.
Maintain invoice queue by keeping the number of open invoices to a minimum, and working any invoices for Goods Received Not Invoiced as quickly as possible. Support prompt processing and return of rejected/excess material ensuring that the appropriate credit is received.
Co-ordinate supply chain issues with suppliers.
Research inventory shrinkage and recommend corrective action
Coordinate with supervisor to execute special projects
• minimum of anAssociates Degree required.
• 3-5 years overall experience in supply chain related functions.
• Team leadership in a cross functional environment, project management skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Root cause analysis skills
• Computer skills in Office tools, ERP’s
