JOB REQUIREMENTS: UW JOB ID: 20713 Position Title: Natural Fiber Postdoct Scientist TTC Title and Code: Scientist (RE043) FTE: 100% Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus Supervisor: Outreach Program Associate Director Department: College of Natural Resources/WIST Position Summary: Lead the advancement of contract research projects focused on natural fiber applications particularly in the areas of commercial wood fiber diversification, specialty paper manufacture, process improvements and efficiency, sustainable packaging, and repulpability and recyclability. Demonstrated experience in natural fiber research, particularly related to forest products, paper and packaging industries. Strong project management skills and experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both colleagues and industry clients. Preferred Qualifications: Track record of innovation and problem-solving in natural fiber science. Knowledge of paper-making and molded fiber processes. Knowledge of the forest products industry in Wisconsin.
