Job description

We are actively hiringĀ Warehouse Supervisors for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. This is a high-volume operation and one that requires accuracy and efficiency to maintain customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the manager and overseeing the operations on the outbound dock.

To be considered you will have 3 years progressive experience in an automotive or similarly relevant operation. Candidates with a strong background in materials, quality and production roles in an automotive industry is an asset. These roles offer significant benefits including:

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

  • Assists manager by overseeing all plant warehouse operations as needed
  • Manages sequencing operations
  • Ability to stand in as the shift manager in emergencies

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Duties

  • Participates in daily meetings for all employees on the assigned shift
  • Oversees and is responsible for all sequencing operations (including personnel)
  • Assists manager with daily and hourly reports, by gathering required information
  • Ensures cleanliness and good housekeeping practices are employed using 5-S principles
  • Liaises with customers, where appropriate
  • Conducts regular facility inspections
  • Performs process, product, lean 6S and cyclic audits
  • Monitors activity and communication in Google Chat and WhatsApp Chat
  • Responsible to escalate any constraints within the process to the shift manager in a timely manner
  • Ability work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to learn and perform standard operating procedures for each commodity
  • Spot audit sequencing racks to verify commodity compliance

  • Experience with warehouse/inventory operating systems

Personnel

  • Builds sustainable relationships with customers and team members with open and interactive communication
  • Able to direct and guide personnel to meet objectives
  • Verifies sequencers adhere to their standard operating procedures
  • Monitor sequencers' training and notifies quality technician of position changes
  • Provide leadership to the team and maintain productivity

Quality

  • Operates within corporate guidelines of the business management system
  • Supports implementation and maintenance of ISO 9000/IATF 16949-2016/ISO14000 standards
  • Provides assistance with quality concerns and collaborates with quality technician
  • Conducts process audits to ensure effective implementation of quality system
  • Ensures quality records are properly recorded and submitted
  • Assists with the corrective action process

Safety

  • Operates in compliance to all health & safety rules, signs, policies
  • Ability to rationally respond in emergencies and accurately fill out incident reports
  • Proactively communicates incident reports or other safety concerns to shift manager then to plant manager.

Excellent written and verbal communication skill

Strong understanding/experience with office software including MS Word and MS Excel
