Job Summary:

  • To work as a cell inspector but remain the focal point for other inspectors in the business unit.

  • Work closely with the Quality Control Manager, inspectors, level 3 N.D.T. inspectors, production engineers and cell leaders.

  • Days/hours are Monday - Friday; 3:00PM to 11:30PM

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide team oversight for other inspectors in the business unit to answer product/work inquiries, resolve issues, and provide training.

  • Work closely with their supervisor, manager and dimensional inspectors

  • Control of any scrap generated from the business unit, maintaining scrap log, and disposal of parts.

  • Control shelf life limited items used by the business unit. Maintaining of required logs as applicable, such as plasma, heat treat, shelf life, & shot peen logs

  • Distribute P.S.D. internal procedure revisions within the business unit as they are released.

  • Support customer satisfaction through achieving quality requirements and delivery goals.

  • Maintain a clean, well-equipped inspection area with the basic tools and supplies necessary to perform daily work.

  • Confer with engineering and production personnel to resolve quality issues.

  • Work flexibility and overtime as needed and pre-scheduled

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Must comply with the company and FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Programs.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have working knowledge with PC and familiarity with the following Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Access database and Power Point.

  • One year of training or 2 years of related experience in one or more of the job duties in the facility.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings

  • High school education or GED equivalent

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Quality supervision in a production environment

    Additional Information:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

  • Pratt & Whitney Springdale, AR is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

    Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Walking, balancing, climbing, standing, twisting/turning, bending/stooping, crawling, crouching, kneeling/squatting, sitting, reaching above shoulder height, reaching forward, lifting (maximum 25 pounds), carrying, pushing/pulling, handling, feeling, digital dexterity, wrist flexion/extension, power grip, working speed, talking, hearing, seeing (with color vision) depth perception.

  • Must be able to wear/use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

  • Mental requirements include, but are not limited to, the ability to concentrate, take initiative, and to cope with stress, and repetitive tasks and be able to self-inspect and take responsibility for quality of own work.

    Environmental Exposures:

  • Exposed to heat, noise, dust, dirt, and moving machinery, generally inside work. Must be aware of moving machinery.

  • Hearing/Vision: Hearing is a marginal demand and vision must meet job standards (includes annual exam).

    Tools/Equipment Used:

  • Gauges

  • Calipers

  • Micrometers

  • Computer

  • Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

    Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
