Manufacturer, located outside of the Philadelphia Suburbs seeks a Senior Plant Cost Accountant who can work closely with plant managers, production teams, and corporate finance to provide financial insights and support. As the Senior Plant Cost Accountant, you will provide cost analysis for numerous locations, review standard cost activities, maintain the general, monitor capital expenditures, review freight cost, develop and implement revenue generating internal controls, prepare monthly journal entries, and assist with the budgeting and forecasting process. This candidate must have strong analytical skills, sound understanding of accounting principles, and inventory transaction expertise.

Major Responsibilities

· Analyze cost variances

· Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies

· Analyze and report on profit margins

· Prepare budgeting reports

· Balance sheet account reconciliations

· Review and maintain fixed assets

· Create and implement internal controls

· Manage inventory balances

· Provide cost effective recommendations

· Create transfer pricing guidelines

· Prepare monthly financial statements

Requirements

The ideal Senior Plant Cost Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or similar.

Other requirements for the Senior Plant Cost Accountant role include and are not limited to:

· 4+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing/plant environment

· Inventory experience preferred

· Experience with SAGE a big plus

· Proficient Microsoft Office skills, Advanced Excel

· High attention to detail
