  1. Assist the Lead and Assistant Teachers with implementation of a quality early care and education program including; compliance with licensing standards and implementation of quality initiatives such as COA accreditation and the Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS).
  2. Assist with daily documentation and record keeping including; attendance, meal counts, diapering and toileting logs, and infant feeding.
  3. Practices quality teacher-child interactions as observed by Environmental Rating Scales (ERS) and Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS). 
  4. Uses positive guidance techniques in accordance with child care licensing requirements, program policy, ERS and CLASS.
  5. Assist with maintaining the classroom environment and with implementation of developmentally appropriate classroom curriculum as observed using the ERS and CLASS.
  6. Maintain all health, safety and sanitation requirements per child care licensing, accreditation and QRIS.
  7. Assist with other duties in the child and family center as assigned by the Lead Teacher, Assistant Teacher, Program Coordinator, or Director.
  8. Perform as a team member to assure that productivity outcome measures are achieved.
  9. Attend staff meetings and designated in-service training.
  10. Be responsible to have knowledge of all Minimum Licensing Requirements for child care centers and expected to follow all MLRs at all times.
  11. Uses appropriate administrative, fiscal, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of CCEW client protected health information (PHI), per regulations outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
  12. Will regularly utilize all forms of communication (email, text, phone, etc.) and database practices necessary for this position and as directed by supervisor.
  13. As a mandated reporter, follows all procedures outlined in agency policies and procedures to report to the proper agency when there is suspicion and/or confirmation that a child or adult has been a victim of abuse or neglect.
  14. Adhere to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine.
  15. Performs related functions necessary to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities.

[Job Qualifications]{.underline} To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.  These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job. 

*Education/Experience:*  **to perform this job successfully, an individual must be at least sixteen years old, have a High School Diploma or a General Education Degree, or be currently enrolled in high school or equivalent education program.  Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), Associate of Arts (AA) or Applied Associate of Arts (AAS) in early childhood education, child development or related field preferred.   Some knowledge and experience of child development and child development centers preferred.
