Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the COMMUNICATIONS AND NETWORKS (55300) of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC. Responsibilities You will manage, coordinate, and oversee critical operational and integration systems engineering efforts to establish, maintain and/or improve information systems, national and international networks, and their hardware and software applications. You will be responsible for direct work primarily in support of Command Information Operations in support of Network and Desktop Services, as well as Navy C4IFR, Enterprise Systems, Expeditionary and C2ISR. You will lead cross-organization teams to identify and analyze problems, generate alternative solutions and make recommendations to senior leadership. You will lead, mentor, train, coach and provide guidance to a diverse workforce with varying technical skillsets and experience. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade lGS-11 level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provide unclassified and classified network and computing services for the design, integration, deployment and sustainment in the Navy's shore and shipboard environments AND lead and guide competency personnel. Qualifying experience may include: Integration, sustainment and deployment of server architectures, data storage architectures, virtual computing solutions, cloud infrastructures and operating systems. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Prepare for and pass network and/or data center security inspections. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services, IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Assess needs and requirements necessary to provide solutions in support of customer products. 3. Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency must include: Lead subordinates in realizing strategic plans in order to meet organizational goals and objectives. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency must include: Evaluate and recommend adoption of new or enhanced approaches to delivering IT services. Education Additional Information This position is in the Science & Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Human Resource Management System pay band for Department of Defense laboratories. The pay schedule and pay band for all Supervisor/Manager Positions will be NM-2/3/4/5. Recruitment/Relocation incentive may/may not be authorized.
