Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in SOUTHFIELD, Michigan. You will be expected to handle a variety of accounting duties, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Bank Reconciliations. Your skill set should include Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of AP and AR transactions • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting • Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis • Prepare journal entries and post financial transactions to the correct accounts • Carry out the month-end close process efficiently and accurately • Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for various accounting operations • Regularly review accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues • Work closely with other team members to achieve financial objectives • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements • Comply with all financial regulations and standards. Requirements • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role in the accounting field. • Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. • Familiarity with the preparation of bank reconciliations. • Knowledge of general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes. • Ability to prepare and post journal entries. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and clients. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. • Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred
