Copeland Marketing Manager in Sidney, Ohio

The Marketing Business Partner is the instrumental position to define and prioritize strategic marketing projects, campaigns, and programs to support the growth of the Commercial and Residential/Light Commercial HVAC lines of business within the HVACR Americas business unit. In collaboration with leaders and peers, you will tap into expertise across the organization to differentiate what is unique for the business and its products. You will take lead on defining the go-to-market strategy for product launches, campaigns, and external communications, as well as advise and collaborate on the marketing plans and tactics with the Campaign Management and Enterprise Marketing Capabilities teams.

As a Marketing Business Partner Manager, You Will:

  • Be the business liaison between Enterprise Marketing and the Commercial HVAC and Residential/Light Commercial HVAC lines of business and advocate for the business’ priorities.

  • Operate in a matrixed organization by collaborating with marketing leaders and peers.

  • Align with business leadership, market management, product marketing, product management, and sales across commercial HVAC and residential/light commercial HVAC market segments to prioritize marketing programs, product launches, and events.

  • Be responsible for understanding the business’ key priorities and defining actionable marketing metrics for each marketing program.

  • Drive the strategy and work with the campaign team to guide the execution of integrated marketing programs and campaigns. Marketing programs will target original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), consulting-specifying engineers, manufacturers’ representatives, homeowners, and commercial building end users to drive brand preference, increase product sales, influence system specifications, and educate the market about new technology advancements.

  • Understand our portfolio of brands, their products, and their respective markets and customers and serve as the driving force behind product and customer messaging.

  • Develop marketing briefs that are leveraged to initiate and guide projects with internal marketing team members or agency members.

  • Collaborate with business partners across the global organization to identify and promote comprehensive solutions to meet customer needs.

  • Define the strategic direction and messaging for trade shows and events in the commercial and residential/light commercial HVAC market segments.

  • Work with business teams to define the value proposition to channels and customers, as well as position against competitors.

  • Communicate marketing initiatives and program progress and success to business stakeholders and teams across varying levels of the organization.

  • Work with internal marketing team members and agency partners to support the development of marketing tactics, including PR, digital, collateral, social, creative, and video development.

  • Enable the sales team by equipping them with tools and materials to drive the adoption of Copeland products in the marketplace.

  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Business Partner for Aftermarket and Down Channel to support commercial and residential marketing programs that have focus on down-channel and guide the strategic direction of content for paid social influencers to promote Copeland products.

  • Determine the annual marketing budget and allocation for each program/initiative by working with Enterprise Marketing teams and the Commercial and Residential/Light Commercial lines of business.

Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business/Marketing/English/Communications degree preferred)

  • 5-7 years of experience in brand/marketing management or a related position

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously

  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly solve challenges/problems

  • Ability to manage and grow relationships with cross-functional teams

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Master’s degree in business management or marketing

  • Experience working in the HVACR industry and familiarity with compression products, channel stakeholders, and dynamics

  • Experience either working with or at mid to large-sized marketing and/or digital agencies

  • Experience with project management tools (i.e., Monday.com)

  • Strong familiarity with B2B marketing and content strategies (owned, earned, paid)
