Lockheed Martin O/R Dynamic Component Evaluator C in Shelton, Connecticut

Description:  Perform specified operations to examine and evaluate remaining serviceability of rotor heads, transmissions, gearboxes and hydraulic components in process of overhaul, modification and repair.

Typical Responsibilities

 Follow standard evaluation procedures, drawings, specifications, check sheets, Commercial and Military manuals and other written or oral instructions to visually examine and evaluate all detail parts of disassembled rotor heads, transmissions, and hydraulic components for scoring, corrosion and other indications of wear, fatigue or exposure.

 Reject parts not meeting life limit specifications.

 Determine possibility of salvaging defective components by machining, polishing, plating or other rework processes.

 Determine possibility of salvaging defective components by machining, polishing, plating or other rework processes.

 Responsible for detecting and rejecting all obsolete parts or those not conforming to latest modifications.

 Detect and resolve MRO errors.

 Responsible for maintaining Flight Safety and Tap Certifications.

 Responsible for utilizing Teleview, MRO, KAPES and SAP and applicable computer systems to track, document and maintain component history

 Work closely with Engineering to develop new salvage techniques.

 Work with Manufacturing Engineering to correct and resolve operation sheet problems.

 Maintain historical records of components and record affectivity of all changes.

 Responsible for generating SKY numbers for trace ability of components.

 Perform cleaning, preserving and wrapping of bearings utilizing ultrasonic cleaning machine and related equipment.

 Perform cage shake procedure on related cage shake testing equipment.

 Perform part marking using Telesis Pin Marking Machine

 Must maintain an evaluation stamp.

 Apply anticorrosive solutions or rust inhibitors to parts within area when required.

 Perform other duties of a related or similar nature as directed.

 Refer questionable matters to higher-grade evaluators, working leader or supervisor.

 Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.

 Contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator-required upkeep.

 As required segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices to maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and comply with all EH&S procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, orders, instructions and specifications and use precise measuring instruments.

0 to 1 year experience.

H.S Diploma or equivalent

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
