Splunk, Inc. in Seattle, WA has an opening for Senior Software Engineer (N868): Exhibiting senior level experience, design & develop software applications or systems. Break down customer requirements, features into smaller tasks/stories with effort estimates and defining the milestones. Drive software design, architectural discussions and participate in code reviews and process improvements. Analyze and improve performance, scalability, availability, and reliability of the system. Design and develop test case and testing framework to improve the quality and testability of the systems with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) tools. Design and develop code for deploying and monitoring the infrastructure using latest and cutting-edge technologies. Define operational metrics for monitoring the system and meeting security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. As an alternative, Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or related occupation. Special Skills: Education or experience must include: 1) Programming in Python, Java, Golang, C, or C++; 2) AWS, GCP, Azure or related cloud technologies; 3) Docker, Kubernetes or microservices related technologies; 4) CI/CD and version controlling tools; 5) Data structures, Algorithms, and software modules; 6) Agile development models and building large-scale applications.
